Question about transmission quirk/trouble in C36
Ever since I got the car I've noticed that regardless of where you have the accelerator pedal, the transmission in D will only ever shift at a maximum rpm of 2500. Even if you floor it, it won't shift any higher, and if you do push the pedal down when it does shift at 2500rpm it does so not violently but does have a harshness to it. Secondly, when pushing the pedal down once it's shifted all the way to 4th, it will not downshift at all, even when you hit the kickdown.
If shifted manually the car shifts no problem, smooth and quickly except for at highway speeds where 3rd-4th at higher rpms does have a bit of a slip, not major and no clunking, just revs up a tad before shifting.
Checked the fluid level and it's spot on.
Anyone know what the issue could be?
Thanks in advance
