Driver door handle double pull...?

Driver door handle double pull...?
So, this just started in the past week or two. I unlock the car, door unlocks fine. I go to pull the handle, and it pulls, but the door doesn't open. I pull it again, and it opens. Huh?
I haven't had any work done on the door, but my initial thoughts are that something internally isn't fully ticking over to the unlocked position?
Any thoughts on what to check? Anything that needs to be lubricated after a while that might control this? I really don't fancy taking the door panel apart and chance breaking the handle or anything.
Also, searched, didn't see anything quite like this.
