Power to car via cigarette lighter

Currently no battery in car and need to get some electrical current to car , 12VDC via the cigarette lighter socket, power going in as opposed to drawing it off.
Enough to turn the key to ignition and use the remote to open the boot.
Does anyone know of any device or devices to use that has the cigarette socket end, Brian.

I can't tell if you're asking us if this will work? Or telling us this is what you did?

Otherwise, pop the hood.

There's a relatively big 12v connection to the blower motor mounted on the fender under a little black plastic cover. You can hook up a jump/charger there and ground it nearby on anything to get enough power to open the trunk.

Sorry, "boot"

No i have not tried to power the electrics via the cigarette lighter , i dont know what device i could use , thanks for the advice though. The car is parked up at work , i will look under the hood tomorrow sometime after work and if i cant immediately identify the connection you mentioned i may post a few pictures of what is under there , if thats ok, thanks again, Brian.

sure, try to get a pic under your hood on both fenders and one of us can try to circle the area you are looking for.

Mercedes C200 CLassic , no power

Took a few pictures, apologies for poor quality , i can see something under a little cover that looks a little familiar , its up at the windscreen end ,in the corner passenger side of car , but it looks like lead 2 going into lead 1 and lead 3 on its own...unless i am highlighting the wrong connection.

The picture with your hand holding up the little flap.

The one with a red mark on the wire. Put a lead there. Takes a minute to get a charge up to pop boot. Have someone press down on boot while you pull switch.
