Looking at a C36..
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying this 1997 C36 that is local to me.. Brilliant silver, 200k miles on the odo, looks pretty clean, and the guy is asking $2500.
The bad, apparently the transmission is stuck in limp mode (says he has a new conductor plate, filter, seal, and connector that needs installed and should fix the issue)
Couple paint bubbles here and there...
Sunroof seals need replaced
Should I bother picking it up? I'm looking for another fun daily driver to ease up on the miles and maintenance costs of my E55. Is there anything specific to pay attention to when I go to look at the car? I have heard head gaskets and wiring harnesses... How can I figure out if the wiring harness is non biodegradable? Or did the '97s not have the harness issue?
