LCA Bushing Tool & Spring Compressor

Well it looks like it's that time again to replace the lower control arm bushings. This time I will be using poly bushings from Hedgehog Tuning & Motorsport to replace the garbage factory bushings that didn't even last 30k miles this time. These new bushings look very well made & hopefully I will not have to address this issue again.

Does anybody have the LCA bushing tool & also the MB spring compressor? I'd be willing to pay to rent & ship if you're not local. I'm located in Colorado. I was quoted $360+alignment for labor but I'd rather not have pay again for the same work..plus I'd probably throw some #1 pads in the front while I'm in there.

I am currently running their adjustable UCAs with poly bushings & their complete LCA poly bushings. They also make fiberglass body kits, complete multilink arms with poly bushings, & subframe bushings; they even have ball bearing rod ends if you're going that far. Admittedly, the website is challenging to navigate, but if you contact Ake at Supornsak@Hedgehog-Motorsport.com he will be able to give you all the information you need.

how have the UCA's been for you? I really want them but I'm really skeptical as all of the tension is on that weld they make, not like the stock arms that are stamped so they are much stronger. do you track or autocross the car? or drive in areas with **** roads? I think I saw one guy already had a set that busted right at the weld.

anyways... I just swapped the LCA's on my C43 to my CLK55 last weekend (since the C43 had the K-mac LCA bushings and I wanted them on the CLK now). we didn't use a spring compressor, just took everything off and used the floor jack to lower the LCA and release the spring, I have the euro springs on my car so they might be shorter than USA stock (?) they popped out a bit but it wasn't anything crazy violent, but still if you do it stay clear and watch your fingers and toes! the H&R sport springs on the CLK literally had no pressure when we released the LCAs on that car. also I had a really knowledgeable buddy that helped me, I just watched and handed tools over
though you probably need a tool or press to install the bushings.

I plan on ordering the pancake compressor tool soon for doing the springs on my C43. I only ordered them about 4 years ago!
