Exhaust upgrade for E36 (W210)
Hi Guys
I have a 1996 E36 that has recently had a Gold98 Powerchip installed (very happy with the resulting performance increase). My next quest is to ascertain whether there is any room to improve on the AMG exhaust for some more ponies.
Advice I have been given to date, is that the headers & cats are great as is. The mufflers & rear silencer are restrictive and gains can be made to using a freer-flowing replacements ( as well as slightly larger diameter piping).
I was just wondering whether any C36/E36 owners out there have upgraded their exhausts and realised any true performance gains. Feedback or suggestions is much appreciated
