C36 AMG Common Problems?
Looking into buying a C36 AMG. First Mercedes, and I'm just starting to get more into cars, so any help is appreciated.
I'm going to look at it in a week, its a '97 with ~96k miles on it. At least from the pictures I've seen of it so far, it looks pretty good. The CL seller highlighted a few dings and marks on the rims, but other than that it seems like a pretty solid car, so I'm cautiously optimistic. Next week I'm having him bring it to my mechanic, as well as a family friend who is a Mercedes enthusiast.
What are some issues I should be on the lookout for with this car? From the minimal research I've done, I've found:
Head Gasket Leaking
Water Pump
Radiator and Coolant hoses
Wiring Harness Wear/Rot
Suspension Bushings
Steer Damper
O2 Censors
Cat
Break Rotors
Shocks
Are these all accurate? Are there any more I should be looking for? Any other tips for a potential first time Mercedes owner?

Some of the items you mention are common problems on any car with age/wear (rotors, shocks, hoses etc), but I'm curious where you found head gasket, steer damper and CAT as common problems as I don't see many, if any posts on here for that matter, but maybe I've just missed them?
