Frost/Core Plug?
Hey guys. I had a question regarding adding the passenger side water pipe fitting to the rear of the 5.4 cylinder head. I removed the frost/core plug and I'm about to insert the water pipe pressure fitting and had a question for those that have already done it. Is it recommended to use a silicone sealant or not? I've thoroughly researched it but, there is no difinitive answer. Thanks in advance for any input.

hey bud
you know that water penetrates through cracks in concrete or through stone if it's ruptured.
water penetrates most things where it's possible!
it's highly recommended to use sealant for the water pipe inlet, don't install without sealant risking future leaks from the rear where it's a pain to access when the engine is in the car.
check what Loctite has to offer, they have a wide range of stuff for sale or go to your local stealership and buy sealant
