C43/55 Starting Problem
Getting straight into it. I e55 swapped my c43 and in the process also changed the factory transmission with the e55's as well. There were some differences in the shift interlock for moving out of park. Now that everything's in the car though i cant get the car to turn over. I am getting power to the starter however the ecu is not sending power to the starter solenoid. I have all wires connected except the o2 sensors, all grounds are on as well. Is it possible that because the c43 transmission had a mechanical shift interlock and the e55 had an electronic interlock that it could cause the starter to not engage. I'm stuck and confused so any feedback's appreciated thanks!

Could be as the ECU thinks the transmission is stuck in a gear. Are you trying to start in position P or N. No difference?
I guess someone having done this transmission swap should be able to point out potential problem area to check.

Yea I tried going through all the gears not just park and neutral with no luck. I also went around with a power probe and checked all my fuses and relays still no luck.

If you need to replace the ecu, which hopefully not, give us a call, I'm sure we have one that will work! 1-888-875-2958

Don't know but could the problem be coming from the TCU? Should you install the one from the E55?
