a car that can't do the throttle reset.
if you can find a 2000, they are the rarest. there were only about 2 dozen or so produced... they have the current tranny shifter...but expect a higher premium over others. silver in all c43's was the most popular produced color. obviously, lower the mileage the better. some have two tone interiors, other have the solid black.

All I keep reading about is Tranny issues, none stop! But a Good thrashing and about 10 to 20 miles should bring all the issues to surface on the 98-99???. And check the Ball Joints as well as the Motor mounts. Anything else??
Thanks

1998 C43
I looked at the 1998 at County Line in Laurel. I saw in last November and it is in poor shape. It had the front clip replaced shortly after it was purchased. It spent time in NYC and has plenty of scratches to show for it. The front end looks like it was shot with a shotgun from all the chips. They were asking $20,900 then and they are asking $16,900 now.

I called about the 1999 at Southern VW Subaru around the same time. Pictures look nice but I have not seen it. They are asking the same price now they did back then. When I called the guy said up front the price was flexible.

I bought mine in Pittsburg. They are over priced in the DC area IMHO.

If you take it to a dealership, stay away from ASC in Alexandria. The one in Arlington is supposed to be much better.
