Weird sound from the diff?
When I turn on the C43 AMG in the morning and i drive it for 1 or 2 blocks i feel a sound from the rear diff, its like a clunking or banging noise. This happens 2 o 3 times and when the car get some temperature the sound disappears . It doesnt seems that the car is sliding or missing a gear. There is no howling of gears or rumbling or whirring noises. After 5 minutes everything is ok and the problem dont come back until the next day in the morning.
I dont think there is a problem with the rear diff because the car is with 125K kilometers (78K miles) but maybe there is some worn out rear diff temperature sensors?
The rear diff fluid was changed when the car hit 100K kilometers. (64K miles).
Any advice or what the hell is going on?

When you had the diff lube changed, did you use lube designed for LSD? I have seen LSD differentials have all kinds of problems with normal diff lube. The LSD clutches require some friction / stiction component to operate. Otherwise, noises etc.

Our babies don't have LSDs and this was not on any option list. You can find LSDs if it was installed by an owner at a later date, but that's a pretty rare find

One friend told me that he had the same issue with his CLK430 and it was the transmission mount so...I just checked that my engine mounts are not in great shape so probably the transmission mount is worn out. I will replace them and lets see if the problem continues.
