Stock Strut, Vogtland, Largest Pad, 18" Rims - Scraping Issue
Hi Everyone, and great forum!
Sorry was wondering if anyone may possibly help please re vogtland spring on stock struts setup on 18 monoblock. Having largest height pads on fronts, recently my front left tires scrape the black plastic cover in the wheel well when going over potholes or bump (while the right side having no problems). Therefore, switched the front left spring to the right to see if problem went away, but occurs the same in the right now. Thus, I’m assuming the issue is with that spring – maybe due to age and so compression or spring length decreased? Not certain but wanted to ask if anyone had this issue please and what could be done. Thanks very much!

From what you are describing, there could be several contributing factors. Have you checked your wheel offset? If your offset is too high, a pair of spacers might be a good place to start. It sounds like you need to 'push' the wheel out further from the inside wheel well.

I have the same issue on the front right, the left is fine with no scraping. It only happens when I hit big dips or speed bumps too fast so it hasn’t really bothered me.

Same on mine but on the left side, even if I have KW's and not Vogtlands.
