Radio/Head Unit Stuck
Recently got myself a C36 in great condition, 30k miles, but I've got an issue with the radio being completely stuck and I can't get it out. I took the car to an MB specialist today and even they couldn't remove it without risking breaking the center console.
Has anyone else had this issue? When I put the tool into the right hand slot it clicks like it should, but the left hand one doesn't seem to latch. If I put it in and pull outwards, it grips on to something, but the radio doesn't budge, not even on the right hand side where the key went in fine.

My keys and they are also marked L & R.
Just wondering if the OP'S ones which don't have the holes in the key and perhaps that has an influence. Just guessing...

I think it's the shape of his keys that's the issue. They aren't curved the same and the area that locks into place is more in the center rather than closer to the leading edge. Probably not pushing the springs over far enough.
and proper tools can't be removed until you get the radio out of the dash. Is the key you say is working stuck in the radio or can you remove it?
