C43 AMG W202
Trunk emblems
I have a 1999 C43 AMG; I am looking for the emblems that go on the rear trunk lid, the 'C43 ///AMG' ; I went to the dealer, provided the VIN and got 'the last set in the country!' How fortunate for me. Went to pick them up today and was told by the 'parts guys' that Mercedes sends you CLK430 and a separate ///AMG and want you to 'use the letters and numbers you need.' I just stared, amazed at who I will graciously call 'num' and 'nuck'; they were only going to charge me $136 plus tax.
Does someone know where I can pick these up? Or, is this the true state of affairs.

1998 C43 w/ 55 swap Wavetrac LSD and 6-Speed manual
Check ECS Tuning - just ordered a CLS550 emblem to make a C55 (55 swapping my C43). It was the cheapest of the M/SL/G/CLS/CLK options! (didn't check the AMG badge pricing)

S202 C 43 AMG
My car did not come with the C43 emblem, and my AMG emblem has been painted black, poorly, and stuck on with thick double sided foam tape instead of the thin emblem tape.
I want to replace both, and have been looking at the Ebay entries. Even the entries that note W202 look the same as the W205 emblem.
Can someone show the differences between the early and late emblems? The previously posted auctions are gone.

Mine was debadged from the factory and remained so during my ownership. Never felt the need to "advertise" it was a C43 AMG. Those in the know recognized a fellow owner...
