1996 C36 - Diesel Sound

MBWorld Fanatic!
I ran across my C36 last night. The guy I sold the car to lives in the same area and has the same commute to work so every now and then we end up at a stop light next to eachother. We stopped to chat for a while and my car is doing well. He had just spend the day waxing the car and conditioning the leather and well my car still looks great.
With 94k miles on her the motor still sounds exactly the way it did when I sold it! I miss my car!
After talking to him I think the source of the power loss for some C36's could be caused by warm intake temps and poor 91 oct gas. If the temps are to high and the car retards timing the vehicle could be very slow. Just a thought. I ran across my C36 last night. Steve if I ever make it to SF I would like to see your car. Low mile C36's are a sight!
