C43 and Pilot Sport AS3 Plus tires

I tried searching, couldn't find anything specific. I just had the Pilot Sport AS3+ put on the C43, and damn if they're not squirrely and slippery as ****. I can't even go around an onramp to the freeway, not even pushing it, without them sliding or breaking loose. Pressures are all correct, staggered as they should be (though I'm going to double check that tomorrow), granted I came from a Pilot Super Sport but I didn't expect these to be this slippery.

Anyone else running these or have any complaints? My MINI Cooper S (I know, FWD, different weight ratio) is running Conti DWS06 and they are like glue, thinking of changing over to that possibly.

Would love any feedback or information if anyone else has these.

Thanks

Very interested to hear your feedback. Never heard any negative comments on these till now, and was planning on those as my next tyre. Bought car with Kuhmos, cheap but they do seem to hold the road well. Never pressed them to any great degree.

Keep in mind that it is an all season tire. The Pilot Super Sport is a soft rubber, summer compound. Are you running the AS3 for cost reasons or because you need an all season tire?

Never heard of these all weather type tyre. I'm on SS4s which are great.

Just wondering of the tyres are very old stock (past due date). Check the manufacturing date info on each tyre to ensure they are consistent between the 4.

The Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is available in 2 speed versions - one is speed rated w or Y and the other is speed rated H or V. It is the highest rated ultra high performance all season tire in Tirerack's ratings. The Contis come is 3rd. Because it is an all season tire it has more open space in the tread to evacuate water and mild snow. Because of where he lives (D.C.) my son runs all seasons on his C43 - the Conti ExtremeContact DWS. I've driven his car hard and never experienced sliding or breakaway from the front. The rears can be forced to break loose if I really throw the car into a tight turn and floor the throttle simultaneously. But that is stupid driving. Under normal spirited dryving they work great - but they are not up to the ultimate dry road grip and handling of Michelin Pilot Super Sports of pilot Sport 4S. The OP needs to revisit why he is running all seasons. If he needs tham he needs to adjust his driving IMHO.

Doesn't sound normal. Check pressures and manufacturer date on the sidewall
