New guy here! Bought C36!
Hey guys, I'm new to Mercedes. Why not go big and start with a C36, right? I'm excited to start this little adventure and learn a lot.
Black (040). All original paint, all Mercedes glass and lenses, MB service since new, all records, garaged since day 1. Canadian market example (and where I live). It's been on temperate/no salt Vancouver Island its whole life. 238,000K kms and its truly mint. (148,000 miles)
Snapped this pic on my way home from the purchase:

Welcome aboard!
She looks very sweet and in great condition in the photo. I would lower it a bit to loose that SUV look, which was typical of the W202s that went to the N. American markets. The European and ROW sat lower and looked much better.
Give us your impressions and shoot us any questions. Plenty of knowledgable people on here.

Thanks guys. I understand there were only 50-100ish C36s that were Canadian market examples - rare bird!
This vehicle has been maintained so well, however I've still noticed a couple small things to attending to.
1) Those 4 rubber drain inserts on the underbody were fairly clogged up with dust/grit. All clean now. Any other drains to check out?
2) I've noticed a very faint buzz from the rearview mirror/interior lights area that I've diagnosed as the temp sensor fan. New OE part ordered.
3) When I unlock the vehicle the vacuum locks work fine but I noticed a slight hissing sound coming from the driver's lock/latch area on the door. Not present on the passenger side. Is this normal or a sign of a leak? Only lasts for a few seconds.
4) Speaking of locks, one of the key fobs works great and the other doesn't work anymore despite new batteries. Are new fobs still available anywhere?
Thanks gents!
