Starting Problem (Back window rolls down when starting up the car)
Not sure what it is, but everytime my brother borrows my MB cars, something wrong happens. A month ago, the battery had to be replaced on one of them. This past weekend, he had starting problem on my OB C43, which became a simple battery change to a cooked starter motor.
So after changing the battery, it still had starting problems. Eventually, it starts after a few tries. The mechanic in Pasadena changed the starter motor, but the same thing still happens. IN ADDITION THE BACK WINDOW GRADUALLY OPENS AS THE ENGINE TRIES TO START. They've already checked the overvoltage protection switch and fuel pump relay.
I think that the back window gradually opening when starting the engine is an effect from some sort of a short within the starting circuit. Until now, the mechanic still has no clue what the problem could be. I'm also having them check the crankshaft sensor.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
