So I have an amazing opportunity to take a C43 AMG Coupe (2017) for a trip. It's about 5 hours there and 5 hours back. 10 hour drive total. We'll be there for 2 nights and then back to the city.
It's a nice long highway but my question is . . . CABIN NOISE.
I heard the C43 is basically a sports car. I mean AMG (Salivating . . .).
As fun as it's going to be (My first time in an AMG), I wanted to check in with the owners if the engine sound is too much for a 4-5 hour trip? I have driven a Mercedes C300 and that car's cabin noise is nothing. It's like being in any other car. Very comfortable noise levels.
I've never driven anything close to 300 horsepower (Maybe the GLA SUV?) but that was just within the city.
So my question is . . . Should I go on a long road trip in a C43 AMG? I want to but my ears are worried.
Want this trip to be pleasant not annoying.
Thx!

You're in the wrong section.
Maybe you should first try the 1st gen. MY1998 - 2001 then go with 2nd gen C43's?
You will notice huge difference in build quality and many other things between both cars.
Have fun test driving.

Thx Matt - I just want to know if the cabin noise is too much on a C43 for a long road trip (Mainly due to the engine sound). Mercedes usually thinks about all this stuff so I don't think it should be a big deal.
I would absolutely reccomend a road trip in a C43! There's nothing like hearing that v8 roar. Be sure to load your cd's in the carrier before you leave cause its located in the trunk

This thread is for c43 hand build AMGs only noise you hear is that sweet v8 on the open road
you could get some EarPods for the trip to listen to that iPad on your dashboard
sorry to say but the new c43s are not real AMGs and should never have been able to wear that badge

This car is not suitable for long trips. I was in Europe multiple times, and I was starting my way in Germany. I was taking sportive Mercedes twice, and it was great for the first two hours. Then you get bored of speed and also the chair is not so comfortable in such cars. Better take a vehicle that is more made for a comfortable trip. But in my opinion, the best option is to travel by train. Once I made a trip by train to Germany, and it was perfect. From that moment I decided that I would go on long trips only by train or by plane.______________________
