W202 1995 c180, bushings subframe change
I fixed lots of things on it .
the subframe bushings was the next thing, but I wanned to be careful . Some idiot who works on cars for 40 years , started to work on it , and he couldn't get the bushing out . It s one of those guys who learned in time , and never did this before , and thinks he knows everything . Not only that he banged with the bare hammer on the steel , im no expert but this doesnt make sense even if they car is old . witch now the subframe catched rust , but after I took them out , he again started to " help " me , by trying to put one of the bushings in . I saw it , the bushing got too bended as he was trying to do it . I know it s rubber , but it has to be very equally pressed inside i assume . I put the one on the left in 20 min , also it stayed in the freezer , but the one on the right took me 6 hours, as it was half way inside. I managed to put it in , but as you can see it s not all the way inside .also you can see a piece of rubber hanging . And there is still a sound on that side when I accelerate .
my question, should I try to put it all the way inside ?
the ring is also not aligned with the bolt .
I really need help . i assumed maybe the rubber had loosen up so I have to keep on tightening maybe ?
The left one is perfectly in, n the pin aligned with the ring. The one on the right not . The edges are not next to the iron , and you can see a bit of rubber there maybe it s scratches.
if anyone knows and has experience with these things I really need an opinion as I really worked to make this car great .
