Weird noise
Hey, everyone, I need some advice, My fan clutch recently went out and destroyed my radiator while I was on a road trip luckily for me I had a spare radiator in my truck for my other c36 so I managed to replace my radiator and remove the fan blade to get home. I also refilled my coolant with water as there was not a single gas station nearby. However, after doing so there is this extremely loud fan sound almost like a jet (it still sounds the same even after I replaced the fan clutch) It is almost like the fan clutch is staying engaged, Could the fact that I used water cause my fan clutch to stay engaged? or is the fan clutch I bought from oriellys faulty? (and also when I switch the car off I can clearly hear the fan spin to a halt like a damn turbine jet powering off)

My 1994 C280 showed me that the m104 engine was notoriously difficult to find the right fan clutch. The wrong one stays engaged far too often. It makes the loud fan noise, robs horsepower, robs fuel mileage, but it does keep the engine running very cool.
There are at least 2 options of fan clutch that are dependent upon temperature; you probably got the wrong one.

Yeah, guess your fan clutch is engaged all the time. Not very good for power, water heat management, etc. Where did you buy the clutch? OEM or some cheapo copy?
