Does anyone know of a person or company that can repair engine wiring harnesses? My harness is that awful biodegradable insulation stuff that deteriorates over time. I attached two pictures of examples of my wiring harness.
The only lead that I have so far is a gent by the name of Victor of www.RestoreYourMercedes.com, Phone: 917-674-5599.
So far, the car works perfectly with no warning lights. But over time, the wiring harness will only continue to degrade and short out.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you have some spare time, you can pull the harness and replace all the wires with automotive grade GXL crosslink wire and wrap the harness with cloth tape. Something I did back in the day....

and if that doesn't fix your issues, you probably need to rewire the cable on your electronic throttle body actuator
I successfully got a lead that the MB Classic Center in Irvine, CA has the 1995 C36 wiring harness. It is OEM, it's brand new and it was made long after the biodegradable stuff. I ordered one harness at a cost of $1080.00. The Parts Supervisor told me that price was wholesale. part number: HWA 202 540 03 32
I jumped at that price and should have the new harness in my possession in a week or so.
I plan on installing it myself.
I also found a company that will pay me for my old harness...if the connectors are in good shape, they use them to rebuild other harnesses.

You lucked out. 👍 I believe that part# is specific to an early build ‘95 C36 - I had the same one replaced at the dealership 7-8 yrs ago. Only 3-4 of them were available in Germany at the time. I believe the actual cost is around $1,700+ for the Delphi replacement.
