C43 Custom Air Box

It’s been a while since I posted. Before I mod the oem box for other Mercedes cars I wanted to offer it to any new member here in the c43 forum. If not I will mod it to fit another car.

anyone interested shoot me an email or private message me. Do a google search for speed43 air box to read some of my reviews.

I now weld them Back together using oem plastic so they are very strong for any weather. Lot of work. It worth it to get the oem look and quality.

Thanks for reading.

After a disappointing experience with RENNTech's dealer here in the UK, I fitted an airbox from @speed43 and have been really impressed with the product and the performance. The car is noticeably more responsive in the low-to-mid range, and is also slightly more "vocal" too. The box looks 100% OEM, and Geo was great to deal with through the whole process too. I'd thoroughly recommend one to any of the sceptics out there!

Thank you! I really appreciate your words and taking the time to post.

It's always encouraging to me when customers show their appreciation. Not all of them post but I do get nice emails from them.

Also, for those interested please be willing to take my offer of buying your core for $125.00. It's good for me as I can keep making these for you guys. And it's good for you as it helps lower the price. Remember renntech asks for you to pretty much donate your oem air box to lay their carbon fiber over the part that holds the air filters. I buy them from you still give the best price I can.

Thanks again for taking the time to post.

not trying to knock you but the Renntech CF airbox is not just a CF overlay. I have one, and have compared the stock C43 airbox with the Renntech CF airbox. It appears your modification is very similar to what Renntech is doing (increasing the volume and removing the baffling), but you are doing it for a fraction of the price.

Ok good to know. I have never seen the renntech box in person but looks nice in pictures.

George,
Any chance that you could come up with a Carbon Fiber replacement for our plain black system?? I know it would be more$$ but you could open up a new customer base...

Most guys don't want carbon they want oem look. Maybe you and one more guy have asked me for carbon over the 6.5 years I've been doing this. Sorry I won't be doing carbon at all.

I honestly don't see the attraction of carbon under the hood.
