Staggered means that the rear rim is wider than the front. It will put more rubber on the ground for RWD cars. If you autox or track alot going with a staggered set up will cause more understeer.

the first e36 m3 ran 17"x7.5" rims on all four corners. later, it was staggered (i think in 1996 or something) to include the same front, but 17"x8.5" rims in the rear. guess it was for more understeer "stability" for the general public. some people like it, some people don't. but most will agree it probably looks pretty good...

Help with wheels

Arghhhhhh I need help getting wheels for my c43 1999.
I had been looking for wheels forever! and I am really confused with fitment.
Is it not possible that c43 have deep dish wheels? I had been told over and over again that big brake kits don't fit deep dish wheels... some say offset not going to be right, some say brakes are too big?(how big are the c43 brakes?)
Though so, some say A-OK as long as it is not as big as brembo, some told me to use spacer but not really sure if it will stick the wheels out of the fenders.
Can someone who is very familiar about these help me out.
RIght now I am looking at the 18" staggered x8.5 and x9.5 st-2 of www.sternwheels.com
Thanks a lot people, really appreciate it.
