Drivers side mirror
Well decided to pull out car from hibernation and while backing out of the garage I usually pull mirror in with my hand...pulled too hard and snapped the black plastic mount see pic.Can i just buy the mount?

Sorry mate, been through this multiple times.
Gonna need a new mirror assembly. The part in your hand is the hook that is part of the base. A spring in the outer mirror section connects to that hook. If you pull too hard, at this age, the potmetal it's made of has become weak and the spring will break that part. There's no fixing it.
Head to the junkyard and pull a mirror from another 1998+ w202, it should be the same inside no matter what. Just re-use your outer housing to maintain color matching.

Found new mirror assembly w/o auto dimming.$83...can I swap my auto dimming mirror onto the new housing? Also how do I slide my mirror cover off the housing? Thanks in advance.
