1995 c36, 18" brabus monoblock IV
HID conversion kits?

anyone ever use HID conversion kits for their c36 or c43? i'm thinkin' of changing out my stock headlights on my '95 c36. is it pretty easy to install? how much should i expect to pay? thanks.

if you get the plug and play kits installation should be a piece of cake. prices can range depending on brand and where you get it. the kit im getting is cheaper because it was a group buy but expect to pay at least 250+ to get a kit.

shouldn't be too hard...most just require a simple change of bulb and a place to put the balast.

im not sure what brand at the moment but my friend has the exact set on his volvo and it looks great. its 5400K

I did the HID conversion on my c43. beam patter looks like crap, light shines everywhere but where you want it, infront of you. Shines in oncoming taffics faces and also right in the rear view mirror of the cars ahead of you one lane over on eaither side. Scared everytime there is a cop infront of me cuz the lights shine all over the place. I dont recommend it. save the $300 and get pullies for the car.

The head light was redesigned for 1997 so if you go replacing the whole headlight housing, it's a little more work.
