Winter wheel and tire help

Hello I'm hoping someone has information on what wheel sizes, center bore and specifically offsets work for the c43 w202. I have to get winter tires due to where I live. I'm thinking square stance on 17in rims, something like 225/45r17. Currently the car has 225/40r18 up front and 245/35r18 on the rear. Do 17s fit around the brakes, do 16s? Any suggestions? I can't garage it as I don't have other transport and it's always been run in winter from what I understand.

Yes, a square set up in 17" is the way to go with 225/45 R 17" on the four wheels. The 17" fit the standard brakes with no problem, as the 17" are OE specs. The wheel sizes should be 7,5J with an ET of 35.
