Radio Volume aging out?
My 1999 C43 AMG factory radio Has started to have a very annoying flaw lately. The volume control has gone all wonky on me. It works some times, then not, then it will jump to very loud volume, very hard to reduce, etc. etc.
Has anybody experienced this? Will cleaning the control help? I can blow air, or use some electrical contact cleaner.
Rather not take the radio out / apart if not absolutely needed...

Could be the volume control is clogged with dust. Taking out the radio is very easy using specific removal keys. It will take you 1 minute to pull out unplug the connectors and then see what needs to be done.

I had this issue last year.Used some compressed air to ciean dust n debris that may have accumulated.Seemed to solve the problem.GL!
