Losing power at 3000rpm
Newbie here in the W202 C43 world.
I recently purchased a 1999 C43 and in the last week it has stopped letting me go over 3000rpm. Car starts, drives and shifts gears smoothly but as soon as I put my foot down and reach 3000rpm it cuts power. No fault codes are coming up so I don't know where to start.
Has anyone had a similar issue?

I had similar issues a few years back. In my case in one of the cars was the mass airflow sensor. No codes for a while but eventually lamming the gas and engine cutting off it triggered the maf code. On my other c43 it was 2 coil packs. I decided to change all of them and no more issues.

If you change MAF sensor, don't cheap out with an internet sourced object. Only get a genuine OE or Bosch item. If not, your wallet will be hit several times...
