BTW: Guys, I really want to lower this car but am afraid of ruining the nice ride it has right now. Any input?

For lowering There are a few things to be concerned about regarding comfort and proper suspension geometry. You will lose ride comfort, that cannot be avoided. Buying good shocks such as Bilstien HD's or Bilstien sports will help beef up the suspension in response to lowering springs and provide the best comfort. (I'd go with HD's as tons of guys track them on lowered cars and they will provide better comfort). For lowering springs, H&R, Eibach, and Vogtland seem to be the standard. Depending on how low you go, you may need to buy a camber correction kit (more likley for rear), this will allow the camber to be adjusted further than stock to compensate for squat. You will go through tires like mad if you cannot get very close to factory camber specs and skip this step. To further increase the handling I'm quite sure thicker H&R torsion bars for the front and rear are avaliable.

I see. Just now starting to notice the trunklid spoiler isn't stock.
is the Bilstein HD shock a firmer one than the factory special order Billies? On my e36 I have Billy Sports in the front and Billy HDs in the rear. And as is, it is too stiff. Hence the questions. Cool.

Pardon you may, however, that rear spoiler on the bootlid is far from stock, the rims are far from Areo II AMG monoblocks (although still AMG ), and I'm pretty sure none of the AMG C36's came into North America tinted, rather there was a roll up shade you could special order for the rears that was a euro option. I hope I did'nt come off hostile, I love the look! The reason for comparison to the legendary W201 Evo was mainly due to the spoked rims (similar to the 6-spoke rims) and the rear spoiler, although much less pronounced than the Evo's.

Went from #3 to #1 pads in the front, to make the difference less ugly, doubt it will close the gap.
Waiting until early next week to lower the car and observe.
