The 365 GTB/4 is an excellent and civilized car with a firmly planted feeling as you travel at high speed. The overall build quality of the B/4 is amazing with perfect door fit and a Mercedes-Benz like solid feel. The visibility out of the car is tremendous and the car is a breeze to drive with power steering and great driving position. The engine noise and power is addictive especially when lugging the car through town or out of the door yard when you can take advantage of the low end torque. However, the car does feel a bit like a German luxury car, a great drive that is not particularly thrilling because it does everything so well, even the power steering is direct and does not feel “numb” as other Ferraris with power assist steering. It is truly a car that needs to be driven for hundreds of miles to appreciate how wonderful the car really is.
What ever article you read it sure is not refering to a Daytona??? Maybe you were mistaken and its refering to the 365 GT4......the little brother to the 400 series?????????

you are correct, I checked and it must be a typo.... 365 GTC/4 DOES have power steering:

Mechanically, the 365 GTC/4 is closely related to the 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" but it presented its own innovations, including power assisted steering, a large trunk, and side draft carburetors which allow a lower hood line. As Road and Track said in its July 1972 review of the car: "In all, a graceful, clean and understated design with subtleties one discovers only by looking it over carefully. One might say this model is a Ferrari for the mature enthusiast." Or, Winston Goodfellow was quoted in the Forza 365 GTC/4 Buyer's Guide as saying: "The styling is so elegantly low-key that the model is often overlooked."

Including the fact that the C4 was a 2+2. Personally I love the C4, I think that car is beautiul, and has over the years been agreed by Ferrari enthusiast the prettiest sounding Ferrari ever built, it really is a joy to hear that thing under acceleration

You find some for sale here at relatively cheap prices. True, most Ferrari fans don't like it too much, but it IS a real Ferrari!

did you have to drill holes for the boot spoiler?

black grille looks butch on a silver C43!
did you use matte black paint or glossy paint?
after the black paint is sparyed on.
any need for clear coat for protection?

Congratulations
P.S. I must get some of mine done soon.... Perhaps in the next weeks as I'm taking of for vacation this weekend

Nothing new regarding my camber arms. As mentioned in another reply, my trusty mechanic is on vacation until the end of June. I can install the camber arms myself, but I don't have the instruments to do a suspension alignment. Don't want to screw my new tyres just yet that I've just fitted if the alignment is out of wack Also, I'm taking off on vacation myself next week, so no tinkering of the car until July

looks like someone needs to pull of the front bumper and reset the guide rails to get rid of the gap. Looks great other than that

Hi, Yes...the previous owner bought another 99 C43 AMG with 2 tone interior....he actually contacted me back to trade with him again...he wants this silver back and trade with his black one + $2500. The black one has 27k more miles than mine but paintjob and everything else...plus the 2 tone interior makes me drooling....what do you guys think i should do? should i give him back this silver and trade with the black one he is driving now?

DON'T EVER SELL your C43 Beg, borrow or steal to keep it!
Tell the wife (like I did...) that its a collector and is worth more than I (or you) paid for it... Unfortunately she didn't believe me, but at least I tried

Just use the word appreciate like I did.... "This car is only going to appreciate in value" Worked on my wife after I told her I was going to amass a FLEET of AMG's. Next in the stables is the W210 E55 AMG but probably won't be for a little bit as I have a couple projects ('99 C43 & '63 cadillac) that seem to take MOST of my time and ALL of my money. Once she heard they will go up in $$$ one day she was on board . I can tell you this, DRBC43 is right. I will NEVER give up my AMG's I will only add to the collection. I am an AMG ADDICT!

You obviously misunderstood what we were talking about, the cars going up in value is what I TOLD my wife...... doesn't mean it's true It's the only way I could convince her to ALLOW me to purchase vehicles that cost an arm and a leg to fix without having to sell one.

P.S one day the C43 WILL go up in value (by that I mean more than I paid for it not the sticker price, I doubt any C43 will be worth more than original MSRP) as there are less than 3500 in the WORLD and they are a piece of AMG history..... that being said it could be 20 + years before they start to appreciate.

It means your car is having chasis(body frame) problems. That car is really old, its time to upgrade. Plus mercedes are not reliable at all even with a CL class. The quality of the car is really poor.
