Guys, Yes the translation is Birch Black, on the back of the trim there is a lable saying "AMG Birke Schwarz", This appears to be JDM market only I tried very hard to find Mercedes even sent me genuine manufacturing drawings showing the available colours and Birke Schwarz was only option not on there, the part number is the same as any other wood colour. eventually MB said it was NLA, Even if you could purchase new the standard wood piece is very $$$. Sometimes I see a set come up in japan but they want thousands!. I do have a spare set from my other 00 but only some pieces are in good condition!. also 00 C43 had the AMG decal on ash try, earlier 98/99 had the signature

Yes the new 00 43 is JDM and has travelled 81kkms its the most near new 202 I have ever seen!!
We never got any 00 C43 here the only ones were my damaged JDM and now this which was imported earlier this year by a dealer who enjoys this chassis, both have the same options I've never seen a full spec 00 JDM before but, maybe some 98/99.
My NZ new 99 has Xenons,rain sensor and no sun roof, The JDM's generally always have sunroof, standard lights,no rain sensors and nearly always have the guard protectors.
I have the steering wheel but that one had travelled very high km's so unfortunately has a lot of wear!

love the dark wood, so awesome. im going to stain the trim in my car next summer. i know it wont be as good but its a cheap mod im hoping will look nice. i'd replace the veneer myself if i were a decent wood-smith.
yeah, ive seen a few videos they just use a heat gun and the clearcoat strips right off. i might even go crazy and use a color stain. i dont want to give too much away until its all done lol
no not amg but it might rock an amg kit one day,being Esprit has the lowered sports springs shocks and large sway bars. also its light because zero options no electrics and fabric interior which is good because the 250td isn't super performance
