C43 Purchase Help
Hello all. My grandfather passed away back in December and I'm trying to purchase his 1999 C43 from the estate. The car has been sitting in a garage for a few years, so I'm not totally sure of its current condition.
I'm an enthusiast and know enough to drain the fuel, check the hoses, look for leaks, etc. I won't be starting or moving the car until I'm certain it's safe. I also plan to get a PPI, though I know I'll be getting the car.
I'm here for info on C43s specifically. Are there any common issues I need to watch out for as I'm checking it over? Are there any parts that could degrade from sitting that could cause catastrophic engine failure?
Also, for what it's worth I'm an automotive journalist and plan to write a story on getting the car back in shape. I want to make sure it's done right so maybe someone can learn something from my piece.
