Don't know about you guys, but I've failed miserably at the soft break in. I'd estimate I'm spending about 75% in Comfort following the rules, 25% in Sport Plus running it pretty hard in spurts. I've definitely redlined it on some occasions once she was warm...thing is damn quick.
Yep I had really planned on doing the break in... about 15 min in that went to hell... Driving around town hard accelerations and sports +, highway cruising I've put it down to comfort. But ya pretty much given up on soft break in, sports + and drive it like I want to. 500km on the clock so far lol
Picking up my C43 in a few hours. I've held off on posting since I ordered it but I can't hold back any longer. Don't think I've ever been this excited about anything!! Can't wait!

LOL. I hear you. Pick up my C63 tomorrow. It's painful waiting such a short time!
First snow of the year, there she comes. Exhaust is amazing (with performance exhaust).
Here's some pics. Sorry, such a bad day and place to take pics.
Btw, the HUD has the curved and updated speedometer display.
So did you car show up with the acoustic glass we were wondering about? Mine looks different than the acoustic glass on my old c450 which looked like 2 pieces of glass glued together..on my c43 it looks a lot thicker glass but not 2 pieces like the old car..the front windows seem to be much thicker than the rear though..I'm not sure if they are a different type of acoustic glass or if they are just glass? How about you?

Mine did NOT come with the acoustic glass just as expected. I did not measure or even feel the thickness of the glass. But it was a E6 glass - non acoustic glass made in the US.
My dealer fought for me so MB retrofitted the acoustic glass for free.
And the quickness seems effortless. Haven't red lined it yet but, just a little pressure on the gas at 50 and 95 came up quickly. Fun quickly.
The car is indeed fun and really fast, at first...then you get used to it and then you run into a gang of skylines and MKIV supras on the I95 at 3am...

Yeah. The old power to weight thingy. Damn physics.
Okay, I just picked up my C43 sedan yesterday (11/5/16). FYI, it was manufactured (assembled) in Alabama, not Germany, which I believe makes a difference as to EPA rules. (Yes—so far, loving it! But let me tell you there are more differences than just the 9-speed tranny and the badging. The suspension is a bit firmer, and the handling better, though it also has Conti's instead of Pirellis. The steering feels quite different, too. And of course firmware updates. And it definitely feels quicker than the C450 I traded in. More to come...)

Reason: add trade-in info for context
C43 sedan
Polar white
Black leather (but the factory added red seat belts at no charge)
P03 package
Panoramic roof
Parking assist
Head-up display
Just a few pics at the dealership yesterday. Love this car!
LOL, red velvet walkway to your car? That's amazing - my dealership had my car parked between a GLA250 and C300 in their service /delivery bay. No theatrics...although I kinda wish they had done something now. BMW Toronto straight up reveals your car to you inside the top floor of their building and then they elevate it down. That's okay though...service bay was pretty clean too lol

Though you had more time with the 450 than I did, I agree. Sometimes think that the whole "just a rebadged C450" is a little bit of rationalization.
And I seem to remember that two things that aren't the same are different.

I don't think there is an option in the programming for the exhaust. From what I can recall, another member tried, but came to the same conclusion.
I have a C63S sedan so I don't know if it is the same but:
there is not a separate program to turn the exhaust on but if you just have it go to S+ in the individual mode it will turn on the performance exhaust to open position as it is that way in S+.

I'm trying to configure s+ throttle and sport steering but with comfort suspension since the roads here are like Swiss Cheese... it won't let me configure the exhaust to open valves.. I have to do it separately via the exhaust button... the only program that I notice has the exhaust open is the S+ setting...are you saying on the c63 it does let you?

Yes--I have it in S+ for engine C for suspension D for trans S+ for exhaust and on for ESP. All programed in the I mode so it just takes one push forward to get everything.

I don't think the c43 is capable to do that.. does anyone with a c43 have any experience with this? Maybe mine needs an update or something?
I do have an I mode.. but the settings are only for throttle (s+, s, c, eco) steering suspension (s,c) suspension (s+,s, c) engine stop(on,off) and a/c heat (e,c).......it doesn't let me pic esp or exhaust... and any of those combinations doesn't effect the ESP or exhaust.. esp is always on and exhaust is always off... the only time the exhaust changes in any mode by itself is in S+ (not i mode)
The screen of options looks like this:
Even if I put the engine to S+ it doesn't effect the exhaust or the ESP
Although I don't plan to drive the C43 coupe (too often) in Comfort mode versus S or S+....is there anyway around the default for engine cutoff when stopped (other than my finger). Doesn't appear to be...but maybe I've missed someway to do it?
