New C43 Sedan From Toronto!
Greetings from Toronto. I picked up my 2017 C43 Sedan (Canvasite Blue / Black Dinamica) today and went straight to work...
We went to my shop and test fitted winter rims and confirmed that 18x8 +35 does indeed work on the C43 without spacers. There is barely any room between the rim and the control arm, but it works nonetheless.
Car was delivered right to me:

Big *** brakes...

Barely enough clearance, but it just fits

Delivered and straight to the shop within an hour LOL

After going all out on my old car (2014 Lexus IS350), I decided that it was time for a more mature and quicker car to commute to the office and back. I needed the car to be quick, nimble, low-key and it definitely needed to sound great. The C43 checked all the boxes.
A pic here for reference:

While the Lexus was fun and gave me many good memories, there was always some minor annoyances which bugged me, in part due to the lackluster aftermarket support for the car.
I test drove the C43 last week after accidentally stumbling upon it online and instantly knew it was the best option for me. It's no C63 but the addition of 4Matic makes it a no brainier since we experience cold temperatures and snow for almost half the year.
I hope to give my impressions and thoughts on the car in the upcoming weeks.
Cheers!

Did you go to SimplyTire for your winters? I ended up getting the exact same spec winters.
What packages did you opt for? I'm really curious - I haven't seen any other C43's on the road here in the GTA except for a person in my buildings parking garage who has a fully loaded C43 - including all carbon fibre trims lol. 4 grand from carbon fibre mirror caps and centre stack
not my cup of tea.

not my cup of tea. Thanks! I picked it up from MB Durham from Calvin. GTA dealers were not willing to deal too much and price aside, they were all arrogant and dismissive.
The car has pretty much every option except the leather seats which I didn't want and the 360 degree camera.
Car came with:
- Premium pack
- AMG Driver's Package (Sports exhaust, AMG steering wheel, summer tires, etc.)
- Active LED headlghts
- Intelligent Drive Package (Distronic Plus, etc)
- Open Pore Wood
- 19' AMG Split 5 Spoke (Bi-colour Black/Silver)
Regarding the winter rims, I got them from my go to shop, but I'm sure its sourced from the few suppliers where Simply Tire, Tires 23, Nextmod, etc. get their stock.
I wanted Enkei or Fast FC04 for winter rims, but I couldn't wait to order them as winter is fast approaching. Maybe I'll switch it up next winter.

They look great BTW!
Car build is pretty much the same as what I've ordered in white, except I added 360 camera and night package to the list.

I will be getting some summer rims in time for spring!
I wanted to get the night package, but as my car was already at the dealer, I had to cut my losses. I also believe that no cars in the first batch came with the option of having the Night Package installed or optioned. But I am looking forward to seeing your car land!
I fixed all of this anyways by wrapping the car this week.
Tastefully done sir!
Any feedback on your Performance Exhaust feature?
What tire size did you go with the Blizzaks on the 18" x 8" rims?

One word to describe the performance exhaust is insane. I always refer to the car as having a Jekyll and Hyde personality.
On one hand, you have a serene and comfortable 4 season daily driver packed to the gills with technology and safety features. With the car in Comfort mode, you can barely hear the exhaust and gear changes.
On the other hand, you set the car to Sport+, turn on the exhaust valves and you have a completely different animal which is out to eat other cars for breakfast. The exhaust sounds super loud, has burbles, pops and gunshots, and will generally cause a ruckus.
IMO, $1,700 for the AMG Driver's Package is a steal, and I easily spent triple that in modifying my old car's exhaust. Coming from such a modified exhaust (and car), I'm having a hard time justifying a reason to hack the stock exhaust and its 3 valves.
I just love the fact that the car can be almost silent in C/E mode, and then with the toggle of the mode switch, the car can wake up sleeping neighbourhoods.
The OEM size should be 225/45/18, but I ran with tires from my previous car (2014 IS350 AWD), so I am undersized at 225/40/18. My speedo is off, but since I got the car last week and didn't have much time to order new tires in time for the snowfall which came down today (
) I decided to use them for this season and sell them in the spring/fall. (I might use them all up for donuts in snow though. Who knows
?)

I will be comparing them to the stock Conti Sport Contact 5 SSR on the track come spring/summer. Can't wait!

When I test drove the C43, I had the exhaust on in all modes, even in C. I like Sport+ but find the artificial effort of trying to keep the revs up, when I just want the firmer ride, annoying. I am big on my own config and have it in manual.
