Have used the remote start several times on my C43, via the Mercedes Me app on my phone. It's worked every time so far. However, the car shuts off when you unlock it, and the engine must be restarted.

Is this how the system is intended to work?

Is there any way to change a setting to allow the car to keep running?

No way to change that.. it's an anti theft feature.. almost all remote starts do the same thing

Ford allows you to enter the vehicle. As soon as you depress the brake pedal the car shuts off unless you have the key in hand and hit the start button before hand. Very nice and I was hoping the merc was the same.

cadillac had a much better app, and you can locate the car at any distance
