Sorry, I wanted to know if you see this image into your car menu (a W205 base model pic):

or if you can see a real C43 like yours depicted there. Could you please confirm that to me? Thank you!

My first attempt at wrapping the piano black center console. Not perfect, but not bad for a first attempt.

Too true
A lack of talent and intelligence led to the SLK, but the C43 has no Factory CF.

Actually the c43 can be ordered factory with carbon fiber interior and they also have an exterior pkg. Its very overpriced and all can be had aftermarket for cheaper. I add the CW Carbon fiber mirror covers and will eventually do a carbon fiber spoiler.

Update: Carbon fiber wrapped the lower diffuser. It was a huge PIA to remove the lower side pieces. I cant believe how difficult MB designed these things. Also was difficult to get the front splash shield back in once removed.

That looks sweet, man. You do quality work!

All of your wraps seriously do look cool but I'd be careful about going overboard with it all. I mean, it's one thing to have an entire car made of CF like a Pagani, Mclaren, Koeineggsegegeggegegegegegeegggggegeeg, etc since they're actual CF (actually that's like the coolest thing), but I feel like you can only wrap so many things in fake CF before it starts to look tacky and you end up on a passerbyer's respective forum with a thread title of "Beautiful Benz ruined by CF wrap explosion".

Just a friendly opinion. It's your car so 'mod it like you bought it' :

LOL thanks for the feedback. I agree that its a fine line. Hopefully I haven't crossed that line yet. I don't plan on wrapping anything else. Exterior wise I just did the grill, emblems and front splitter. The mirrors are real carbon fiber and i'll be ordering a carbon rear spoiler and carbon fiber rear splitter. I have some carbon fiber fabric, resin and epoxy on order and i'm going to try out making some real carbon fiber parts or skinned parts. If that project doesn't flop i'll replace the vinyl stuff with real carbon fiber.

Just finished making these real carbon fiber A pillar covers. Took me a week from start to finish. Doesn't look bad next to the Carbon Fiber mirrors.

That's awesome work! Do you have a link to the source of your vinyl wrap? I'm sold on wrapping the front lip...

Get stuff on amazon, or from metrorestyling.com. Metrorestyling has a pretty large variety. I got the $1-$2 samples, about 50 of them, before deciding on something.

Correct! The A pillars I carbon fiber skinned with real carbon fiber. The front emblem and front Lip I used a carbon Fiber Vinyl from Amazon. 5D style. For something like a lip which is garanteed to get scratched up I think vinyl is fine.

Finishing up a few more pieces I carbon fiber laminated. Here is the oil cap and fluid cap, I previously had wrapped in vinyl. The vinyl didn't look bad, but it Looks so much better in real carbon fiber.

Snagged a Mercedes brand carbon fiber spoiler off a forum member and replaced my factory one. Also plastidiiped my rear badge and did a carbon fiber inlay behind.

Continuing with cleaning up the engine bay...I always liked the look of cars that had carbon fiber cowls so I decided to make one. Here's the left side done. The right side is stock. I'm still deciding if I want to do the lower part in carbon fiber and if I should change the gloss to a matte (think dry carbon) which I can do with proper sanding. Thoughts?

Can you provide details on how you removed the front diffuser and splitter? Looking at wrapping mine but wondering if I should do it while the piece is still on the car!

Thanks

There is a post lurking around here on front diffuser removal if you search. Its a real PIA but unless you're using knifless tape, I would not recommend wrapping it on the car-too much chance for cuts onto the paint. You have to remove the lower heat shield first under the front end of car. There are a few screws which need to be removed. Next the three sections clip into the bumper with clips around the front. You need to pull from outside and push from inside. I used a bunch of trim removal tools and screw drivers. It takes a lot of effort. The middle piece clips are stuck under the grille, which needs to be lifted while pulling clips under the grille.
