Audio volume level is not persistent on next restart?

Are you guys also having issues with setting the audio volume level to zero but on the next car restart, the volume level goes back up? Why does it not persist on the setting you left it at?

I think it's on purpose. Audi does it too. Very annoying.

I'm not sure about the radio, but the media player stays muted after the car sitting all day.

I tested this with both the radio and a bluetooth connected device playing Spotify. Both cases, the volume changes back to a default setting on restart.

Maybe it's related to the player/source?

I'm using the SD card or a USB port in the console. I hit the mute button on the steering wheel when I enter the parking garage at work in morning. The media player is still "paused' when I start the car in the evening to go home.

So we're not talking about pause or mute. Just while the song is playing scroll the volume level down. Lets say to volume 1 ( just as an example ). When you restart, it will jump back up to say 10 ( if 10 was the default ) or something.

Ah! I assumed when you mentioned setting the volume level to zero that you were muting it. I'll try the scroll wheel tomorrow.
