AMG C43 SEDAN Problem within days
Hi All
I picked my custom made C43 2017 AMG Sedan 2 weeks ago.Within 4 days (250 miles) Air condition was not working .Called the dealer went back and it took 10 days for them to found out that evaporator is faulty !!! and to repair it.They said they have to ship the part from germany .Please see attached report .I took back the car today and after 35 miles, check engine light showed in RPM monitor. Also I was unable to start car on three different occasions.I checked the gas cap and it was ok.This is ridiculous .I am ashamed of german technology .Or is it the idiots in alabama plant screwed it .?.Benz dealership shop /guys also cannot detect this .Now again its faulty .With so much money for leasing and car insurance .dont know what to do.I guess the idiots didnt checked oxygen sensor. No wonder jobs are going abroad.
This is my first Merc .Anybody please help

Sometimes stuff happens with mechanical and electrical devices. This time it happened to you. You've taken it to the dealer let them sort it out. You can ask politely for some compensation but otherwise you got the short straw. That's life.

Can you demand to exchange the vehicle? It's frustrating, but it sounds like issues that can probably be fixed without residual harm done to the car. Car is under warranty and I'm sure they are giving you a nice loaner in the meantime.

My first 5 months with 63, it had 2 months parked in dealer
roof rattles
one fuel line leak
replaced all parking things
roof panel pop up
biturbo badge loose due touchless carwash
Feel the car lost quality after car is made in US.

I would ask (demand) to exchange the car as it is completely unacceptable to have a brand new car that does not start! That stuff would kill the brand if taken to the press! Of course, with all the "fake news" going around nowadays, who knows what might happen. I would even settle for a similar building that's in stock and obviously a cheaper lease agreement if possible.
In other words, my launch day C450 from Sept 2015 has not a chirp or hiccup since the day I drove it like I stole it when I purchased the car. Currently at 13k miles and the only major problem I've had was a cracked driver's front wheel, which I had welded

2017 C43 AMG
hey guys omg glad a co-worker just found this for me. So exactly this just happened to my brand new C43 AMG I just picked up and will turn 3 weeks this Thursday June 1st.
I was pulling off from a red light and my engine light comes on and my car starts to violently shake my rpm needle drops down to 500rpm and cannot stay still it keeps fluctuating... Extremely annoyed but I've been with benz for the past 4 years and I'm not about to give up now. I just hope I get the same outcome. T_T currently waiting for tow truck to come to my work place and take the car and I to my dealership.

I have had a few minor things aswell....
Has anyone had problems with the front tyres from a cold start??
When im on full turn in the morning the tyres feel like that are dead flat?
Fine after a few minutes of driving.

My C43 has been in the shop 23 days as of today due to a CEL because of an issue with the EIS. The field service engineer has suggested a workaround to fix it to avoid basically taking the car apart and pulling out all the wiring to look for what is causing the light to activate. I'm 6 days from MD law considering this car a lemon and thinking a workaround or having the car torn apart to fix this are both bad options. Hoping MB will do the right thing and replace the car.

Remember, in most states the key is 30 days that you are without your car AND it has to be for a safety, driveability or issue that significantly will reduce your car's value. MB will tell you it doesn't qualify, but they do this because they not only can't CPO the car, they also can't sell it through a normal auction like Manheim to get rid of the car.
However, if you do qualify and tell them you are filing for the lemon law, they will do anything they can to keep you from doing it. That can include offering a swap in cars etc. They will stall and stall as you talk with them, hoping the mechanics will get it fixed before they have to do anything. If you do qualify (read about it on your state's webpage), call MBUSA. They will elevate your call to the "highest level rep" (which tell you they know it may qualify) and you will get a call within 24 hours. Those people are very nice and very helpful. At that point, things will start to happen for you. Just be clear that you are submitting the forms and they will jump. Oh, and they will tell you it will cost you a lot of money to do this and that you should not. Turns out it is a few hundred bucks in total and MB has to pay you back for it.
Hope this helps

I appreciate the reply, GoDawgs. Will be calling them Monday to see if they will fix this with a replacement. I've hit the 30 days and was going to mail the lemon law letter to MB and complaint form to the MD attorney general's office on Monday but this may be the better course of action.
Football season is upon us and I want to be able to drive that little coupe to the game in Clemson for my girls' weekend on 9/9 - with hopes of driving it to ATL to the new MB stadium for the SECCG in December!
Thank you again.

I'm actually glad I worked with them. Going lemon law only allows one of two outcomes. 1) they take the car back or 2) they don't and the. U r really pissed. Going through them brings the power of MB to help find a resolution instead of the limitations of your dealer. U may still wind up with a new car but it will be easier for everyone with less stress.
