Vee vere driving vay too vast
I took a great little trip upstate and wanted to gloat. What tremendous weather we have had in NY the last few days. I drove up to out of the city taking the Sprain to the Taconic. I left on Thursday and there wasn't a soul on the road. I am typically a hyper milage driver, cruise control at 67 in a 55 and 74 in a 65, but I pedaled myself finding the c450 wants to be at 83mph whenever at all possible (the whole way up).
When I got off onto US9, I got buzzed by 2 bald eagles. I'm seeing more and more in the past few years, but these guys came within 10 feet of my car. I saw something even rarer on the road: the ever elusive, super wide, Afla 4c spider (che Bella) . We drove up to Olana House to see the view and took full advantage of 67* weather in Feb. Unobstructed views up and down the Hudson.
I drove home this afternoon with every intention on obeying the posted speed limits. . . So I found myself doing triple digits for a long stretch before I noticed and decided to dial it back. What an deceptively fast car. You 63 drivers must have difficulty keeping your speed down. 125 miles each way, and I averaged 25mpg. I burned just about 3/4 of a tank round trip.
I hope others here took advantage of the unseasonably perfect weather we had.

It's VERY difficult to drive at/near posted speed limits
Normally, I'm what most would consider a rather conservative driver but my new C43 just wants to run
What is really hard, is a 45 mph speed limit on a road that should really be 50 or 55... unless I constantly monitor my speed or use cruise control, I'm driving at ~62ish without realizing it
I took a long trip yesterday and exited the highway twice. Once was a quick on/off, the other was 4 or 5 miles on a secondary road to get back on the Interstate
That was tough, especially after driving 75-80 for a couple of hours
For anyone familiar with Pennsylvania, the exit is at the South end of I-380. When heading South, the secondary road I'm referring to "cuts the corner" off of the I-380 / I-80 intersection/junction
Saw 4 cops in as many miles. They must know that drivers jumping of the highway will be driving too fast. A "Local Guy" warned me at the gas station when I was filling up (the reason for my exit from I-380).

MBWorld Fanatic!
It was kind of hard to keep it under the limit when stock.
But since going stage 2? Holy **** I speed waaaaaaay too much now. I've always been a conservative driver with regards to speed but now it's just so fast and the car longs for the push. Luckily it's quite a bit louder (the exhaust) so that gives me a reference at times to how fast I'm driving.
