Ah, yes... I get that. Man... the sacrifices we make for looks... hahaha! My car wash guy always asks me "why you want car that low anyway, my friend? Now we have to wash car outside"...

looks good to me! You can also just black out the side skirt moulding to bridge the gap. But you'd have to do the front splitter and rear diffuser if you go that route. If you want it painted, maybe more like gun metal or titanium finish. Either way, its your car... do whatever makes you wanna drive and look at it more.

Hey Mo, wanted to thank you for helping me with the wheels specs, was a big help.
Pretty much all the chrome is blacked out, the grille and boot/trunk chrome strip is being wrapped black shortly everything else was blacked out from factory, All badges have been replaced with black badges as well. I have put on a C63 diffuser and and C63 tips but decided to go chrome tips for a point of difference, this is by far the best mod you can do in my opinion and completely changes the look from the rear, I didn't like the C43 tips at all.

You're welcome, 'glad to help!
What is it you don't like with the black wheels? If it's because it takes away the detail, maybe you can try a combination brushed finish face but leave the barrel black, or maybe gunmetal (helps with the crazy brake dust)... it might even tie up with the c63 chrome tips from an angle.
Something like these, but not specifically these wheels:

Have them wrap the side skirts too. If you end up not liking it you can always take it off, no damage to paint.

Yeah, takes away the detail of the wheels, the black rims are growing on me but I think I'll ultimately paint them or get a different set. They are satin black and would prefer gloss black. As they had to custom drill them to fit my car they still need painting in the lug bolt holes.
I can'y believe how well the car rides on lowered springs and 20" wheels, it really isn't that much different to standard.

Well, if you decide to replace the wheels you can always sell your current set. I think you already have a potential buyer on this thread, good luck.

Didn't i say you'll be surprised with the ride... have you checked the alignment, yet?

had my 20" Ispiri FFr1D's delivered. Test fit on my C43 AMG Coupe - will get these booted up in the new year. 8.5 42et front and 10j 40 rear. Thinking of 235/30 front and 275/30 rear. I'll need a 12mm spacer for the fronts.

didn't want to start a new thread...so I thought I'd drop my wheel question here for the experts. I've been talking to a dealer and he's recommending the following offsets for 20" rims to get them to sit flush. Need your opinions/guidance because I'm a bit confused now

His recommendation:
  • Front: 20x8.5 ET 25 (tires: 235/35/20)
  • Rear: 20x10 ET 50 (tires: 285/30/20)
note: i didn't discuss tires with him but these are what I'm thinking.

Now, I'm pretty confident that the rear will work to sit flush based on what I've seen here (correct me if I'm wrong)...but I'm a bit concerned about the fronts. most here have a +30 or a +32 offset with 20s, so I want to hear some opinions. Will I have issues with this set up?

Car is a C43 Coupe (don't think it matters), and it will be lowered on something (not sure what yet)

Hey Mecca, check out 1010Tires offset calculator, it's handy. Basically I'd say you want overall about +15mm front, +20mm rear to be pretty flush without spacers but remember wheel width will play a factor, especially in the front with the minimal clearance there for the suspension.

are you lowered? the front offset will look mexiflush on stock suspension but would work on a lowered car, albeit a bit aggressive.

once you drop the car, the fronts with that offset might give you issues. You run the risk of rubbing the fenders and liners, specially when you turn the wheels. If the wheels you’re getting are not offered in the “ideal” offsets, you might be better off getting one with a less aggressive offset and use spacers to get you to +30 - +32. With an 8.5” width up front you’ll also be abale to get 245/35, instead of 235/35. Which makes it closer to the rear diameter of the tire you intend to use.
I’ll attach a pic of the fronts so you can have an idea of how close it already is with the vertical fender line.

Thanks guys. I'm looking for the wheels to be built, so I can get whatever offset I want. Of course, in this situation the goal is to get the wheels with tires to sit flush without rubbing issues on fenders or hitting the control arm...and of course, no spacers!

I think I'll be a bit less aggressive and pull back to +30. Also, since no one commented on the rear, can I assume that the rear wheels will be okay at +50
