BMW 435i 2015, on order 2018 c43 or 63
New model year 2018 c43 options?
Previously posted in wrong thread.
Glad to be on here ,thank you.
Previous BMW 435 driver with multiple Dinan upgrades. Have increased engine to Dinantronics stage two edu upgrade, new perf exhaust, cold air intake and mppk from factory. This 2015 my should generate close to 375 horses.p and outstanding expressive exhaust.
Reason is I enjoy customizing as do many MB owners.
When the new 2018 Mercedes c43amg comes out I want the Renntech edu piggyback with hopefully 410-416 horses.
Conflicted by amg performance exhaust vs awe.
I also need advice on Burmeister upgrade to woofers and jlaudio dual sub.
What amp and crossover is appropriate.
The c63 is probably too much speed for local Florida roads
Help me transition to Mercedes.
Glad to be here.

Is that 375hp on the bimmer to the wheels? I hope so.
I'd skip the Renntech piggy back. Way too expensive for such little gains. I get that it's backed by the dealer, but isn't that the point of a piggy back? So you can remove it quickly incase any issues arise with the car?
For piggybacks, I'd go with BMS or Dinan. You'll obviously be well versed on both companies since you're coming from the BMW world.
If you REALLY want to unleash the power of this motor, go full tune. Either OE-Tuning or AMR.
AMR is more powerful (and more $$$) @ stage 1
Both are equal @ stage 2 (Stage 2 is tune+downpipes).
I'd go OEM AMG Performance exhaust. You won't see more power from an aftermarket exhaust and with the OEM Perf exhaust you get the luxury of valves and a nice little button to control them on your center console
The rest, I'm not an expert on so you'll have to wait for someone else on that.

I'm going to place my order for the 2018 C43 end of August. Was wondering if anyone knows if the performance exhaust is worth getting. Does it change sound? Is it louder? Or is it just vavle control.
Hopefully on the right forum. Thanks

COMPLETELY worth getting, yes. With it, there is no need to get an aftermarket exhaust and comparable valve controlled exhausts on the aftermarket are $4,000+
I wish it was an option on my 450. Had I known about it, I quite possibly would have waited another 6 months for the 43 just for that option. No joke.

Well yes, it's all of that. It changes sound, makes it very noticeably louder, and it does this through valve control.

Agree. It is the only must-have option on the C43.

Last I checked, it's not a piggyback rather it's a full flash. I do think AMR is overall the better choice, but at the same time, that's why you pay extra for Dinan in the first place, so you don't have to worry about it when **** hits the fan lol

Great advice. My previous dealer is pushing the Renntech as expected. Interesting they are a Dinan dealer for BMW so I would expect to hear more about Dinan edu tune for Mercedes.
Not much stuff online Anyone have specifics for Mercedes c43?.
Will definitely opt for mag exhaust. The Dinan aftermarket for bimmer is a must have and the dash button for c43 is too great to pass up.
What does Burger tune contribute?
Are we still looking to August order initiation?

if you had Dinan before and was happy stick with them, assuming you are ok with a modest power increase. Its certainly not full flash tune power, but for 300 bucks and 20+ or so HP its a nice bump for what it is. Your dealer probably doesn't even know Dinan has entered the MB market yet, might be worth a mention to them. either way welcome to the forum

For the price of them, I wouldn't be taking strangers opinions on them from the internet. Especially since it's a very subjective choice.
Go to the dealer and sit in all the different seat options and decide for yourself.
I personally think they look sweet but they are quite uncomfortable on extended drives that are over 1 hour. But go to the dealer; make up your own mind.

Definitely subjective, I had a 2015 C300 Sport (with the standard C43 seats) and now have a C43 with the AMG performance seats so I have some longer first hand experience.
I was always fiddling with the seats in my C300 and could never quite get them perfectly comfortable. I felt that they made my body cant slightly to the left if that makes sense (partly due to the wide center console), but then the left foot rest would be too close and I would need to move the seat back further than I would like as far as reaching the pedals with my right foot. Long road trips would end up giving me lower back pains as I felt like I was sitting on an angle the entire time. My wife never felt this, but she's 5'2" and I'm 6'2".
The AMG performance seats seem to have remedied this issue, they feel much more comfortable to me. I was worried that they would be restrictive, but if anything I would say they feel supportive and hold you in a better driving position. I'm 200lbs btw.
