It's not permanent. This is just dip.

They have glossifier that you can spray to make things as glossy as you'd like.

I also have removed entire wheels dipped in one piece, so I wouldn't consider it difficult to remove.

did you remove them to dip or just spray on? Was the diffuser difficult to spray since you're spraying something that is upside down? (dripping)

Awesome, gotta do this on my car ASAP. the silver diffuser looks so strange on a black car.

Can I ask what front license plate mount you're using? I need to get one of these, a cop just gave me a ticket last week for not displaying a front plate

That took some creativity. I ordered a bracket from eBay and then I actually used Zip ties to hold it on the centre grill. Not perfect - but I hate drilling into the paint.

Personally, I think if it can be wrapped in vinyl, then I would go with vinyl over plastidip. However, for areas where it's not as practical to do in vinyl, then plasti dip is a good option.

Anyone miss the stock look of the iridium silver diffuser after switching to the night pack look via black plasti dip or wrap?

Holy crap. What a "small" world. I contacted you almost 8 years ago about vinyl wrap for my Evo X. Good to see you're still around, as I think I just was given your email address on the Evo forums and around then I thought someone mentioned they weren't sure if you were still selling vinyl

Awesome. Based on what you are describing, I think you met up with me in Irvine at night to get some materials from me at the time?

How much did they charge to wrap the skirts?
If you did it yourself was it difficult

Cost about $60 and took about an hour. Totally worth it!

side skirts

$60???
seems like they charged for vinyl and 5 minutes of labor.
Thats a good price.

Can anyone give me any tips on doing this wrap myself?
I am pretty good with vinyl but the side skirt piece that everyone tries to get black doesn't have an edge.
It has an awkward rounded place where the extension piece goes into the regular side skirt.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Its like theres no seam the make a straight cut in.
Thanks in advance, i think my local place would like to charge me $200, but the vinyl would only cost me about $25
Thanks in advance!

they have tape that has a wire in it specifically for cutting vinyl.

So you would lay the tap down at the edge you want to cut, lay the vinyl over it. Then pull the wire out of the tape for a perfect edge.

something like this:

Vinyl for chrome bar, plasti dip for numbers and letters. The DTM spoiler should be ready to get out on this week.

No question if I got a white car I'd do black tweaks.. Looks nice.. But I've had a couple of white cars and I really want to get black..

LaminX

Has anyone attempted the laminX for the tails?
i just worked on it for an hour with no great results.
Anyone go a different route?
they looked great! But the inevitable bubbles really killed me so I peeled it off.
Anyone have success with something else?
The picture above is not my car but ideally this is the look I am going for.
Thanks in advance.

Just got around to dippin' the badges, splitter, and diffuser. Messed up on the star and ran out of the dip so gonna have to re-do that. Used 3M blue painter's tape, scissors, newspaper, and a plastic card. Next time, I would definitely do it indoors, and I would wait longer before removing the tape. Gonna do touch ups and the emblem during the week.
