Help : I need to get out of this lease
Car is 2016 C450. Long story short, car went to 2 different dealerships 3 different times for a (yellow) check-engine light that kept coming back. All kinds of sensors and pins were changed.
Now the car has been sitting in the dealership for 2 weeks and after multiple parts changes, they say it's a wire harness (next to the air intake) that's been eaten into by some kind of rodent and they doubt MB will cover under warranty, though they will try to accommodate me (I'll get an answer next week, harness costs 1200CAD and takes a couple of weeks to get/change). I don't live in a rural area and I never had this problem with any previous or present car. My frustration comes from the fact that I'm paying for a C450 and driving a courtesy C300, which I don't hate, but it's unfair and feel like I'm getting robbed because I can't enjoy the car I'm paying for.
Add that to the fact that we had to replace 6 tires due to bubbles (no, not due to potholes, commute is 90% highway). Never had that problem with 19in RF P zeros on the previous BMW F30 with the same commute.
All in all, I want to get out of this lease, which ends in May 2018. Might consider another MB car if I get a good deal.
Question is : should I contact corporate?
Btw I'm in Canada.
Might have to call again to escalate because I have a strong feeling this will not go in my favor.
Second, I've been driving a loaner for almost 2 weeks, and they expect I won't get my car back before at least 2 other weeks. That's 1200 CAD monthly payment down the drain to drive a C300. I'm leasing for 24 months, with 30k km, so my monthly payments are even higher than average... even more money wasted. I'm not even counting the other times the car was in for the same problem, and the 6 times I changed tires due to bubbles (again, not potholes, commute is 90% highway)... all that in one year. How is that for loss of enjoyment?
Third, I took the car to the dealership 3 times, and this time it took them 10 hours to find the problem, which they want to charge me now because the problem isn't covered under warranty. So that's 10 hours of labor, 1200 CAD for the harness itself, and labor for replacement... for damage they claim is caused by a rodent, without proof. I think I absolutely have the right to refuse to pay.
As of now, the technical advisor is away until next week and so is the service manager. So the car is dismantled and will stay there until next week.
Any other advice?

Call and ask for supervisor if the agent isn't helpful.
And yes, this sucks!
