Here they are! Enjoy! I got them on after dark, will get better quality pictures in daylight. I went to fill up and had some good light there. Overall I am extremely happy with the way these wheels look in person. I feel like they look slightly weird in pictures.
I still need to get matte black center caps, but the stock gloss black ones will do for the week or 2 they are on before they come back off for winter. The front is perfect in my opinion. This is a 19x8j et 45 with a 12mm H&R Spacer making the final et 33 which is same as stock wheel. I did lock to lock and i get no rubbing or skipping on wheel. as you can see in the pics, the clearance is pretty tight even with this conservative fit. This is the Michelin PS4S which is a little wider than most but still is a tight fit. I would not recommend anything larger to breathe easy. Also I like the way the slightly taller tires fill the wheel gaps for non lowered cars. The rear is 19x9j et 54 with a 15mm H&R Spacer making the final et 39. I am undecided on this spacer. I need to see it in daylight and more conditions. I do not think it rubs but tomorrow on my daily drive will tell. I think it may poke slightly too far or it may be perfect. Worst case scenario I will pick up another set of H&R 12mm spacers and it should be perfect. I have taken these up to 130 MPH in Mexico of course ;) and no vibration. Car feels extrememly planted. It was 45 degrees on my drive and was able to take the 3/4 freeway on ramp around the circle at 65-70 mph. overall very impressed with my minimal drive time. Will report back with more pictures and impressions. So far i couldnt be happier and for all of those looking for a solid wheel choice for a non lowered setup this is it. even lowered guys may appreciate the extra breathing room the slightly narrower wheels give you. Plus i am a huge fan of straight sidewalls. looks great, rear fitment is a bit weird on this car. The way the fender is designed, the wheel looks too flush from certain angles but perfect from others, lowering helps eliminate this effect.
I'd say that's too aggressive for the rear and just a hair not aggressive enough for the front (for OEM height), I'd also like more spacing between the suspension. Heat expands things and at speed with heat that tire could start rubbing. |

Your et33 up front looks different from mine. Must be the tire difference. For the rear this is what my et45 looks like. 46.7lbs for front and 51lbs rear Nice wheels BTW! |

I will be adding a few more day rainy pictures. im still undecided because as you said, from some angles it looks perfect, and others, meh. I willl probably go with the 12mm instead of 15mm just to match the front agressivenes. The front for me is perfect. If you recall I was going for a safe fit which is a little less than aggressive. I dont want any rubs in any conditions. Its very hard to capture clearances on camera but the inner clearance is more than it looks in the pictures. There is probably another 7mm=10mm of clearance for the tire and maybe 15mm clearance for the wheel ( which is more than anyone with an 8.5j wheel has. i have no concerns with inner rubbing.) i still think today the fronts are perfect for me and even in rain there is no skipping or hopping which i am very happy about. if you get to aggressive on the front (i doubt a few more mm would do it) but you change the suspension geometry and you risk skipping on full lock turns and other handling characteristics. I like where the wheel is at because it keep oem offset so i know geometry is still oem. the front IMO is perfect and i will keep it there. The rear is still up for debate!

Your rear still looks agressive but not too much, i will step down to the 12mm spacer in rear most likely to bring wheel in another 3mm which would put me at 42mm offset which i may like better. |

As far as the bolded section, you have increased width and overall tire diameter - you have altered the geometry. But, I don't think that even matters to begin with (as long as you're within spec). |

But, I don't think that even matters to begin with (as long as you're within spec). to a certain extent yes. but i did not go up to a 27" tire its a 26.3" tire vs a 26" tire. not a huge difference but enough to lower gap and keep ride smooth. also the center point of wheel and tire is same as oem so widening a wheel while keeping center the same doesn;t really change geometry at all. although the camber is slight in front meaning inside of wheel will hit a little further in, its so slight that it really doesnt matter. i have found that as long as you are within 10mm of oem spec there shouldnt be much issue. 5mm is better. so anything 28mm-37mm et should be fine. it all comes down to experimentation and measurement. we will see how i like the rear. but so far i love this setup! no rubbing and rides much better than run flats even in the 40-50 degree weather we are having. cant wait for these next spring!! |

I would leave the 15mm spacer, dropping down might make the front look like it extends more than the back
and to me, having them the same makes more sense. At least that's what I see from the pics. |
looks good now that it settled from being jacked, IMO. I take back what I said - would likely leave the 15's. it will send a ton of crap onto your car though lol

yea idk, im on the fence. i think it would look good either way. had car loaded down with 5 people today on way to lunch and back and no rubbing. we didnt go over extrememly bumpy road and i was babying it. i may go to 12mm just for travel clearance. not sure. i can say it looks good and car feels planted as fawk!! the tires wheels and spacers really do this car wonders in terms of rid comfort and performance. |
Looks good! Love the poem style and great tire choice. Enjoy the new comfy ride. :zoom:

thanks!! yea they were are awesome wheels and tires. not much left to update this year. will be coming off tonight as temps are supposed to drop into the 20s this week in Michigan. |
a couple things i found the other day to show how important it is to get the proper radius for ball seat. you can see if you use an r13 or an r12 on a r14 ball seat like we have, your contact patch goes way down and there will be a lot of stress put on the small contact patch. ALWAYS use an r14 ball seat for all oem mercedes wheels for the w204 and w205.
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...69dc9324f2.jpg this is a stock mercedes lug in the proper r14 ball seat. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...da5583d25b.jpg this is a stock mercedes lug in an improper r13 ball seat. look at that gap. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...66e4e3a81f.jpg |
and some more final shots of the car. I probably wont get clean ones until next spring!

looks good. A bit monster truck-y, my car is similar :(
Almost looks like rear subframe is a mm or two out of whack, one side seems to poke a bit more than the other (from pictures, so take with mega salt). Could just be camber settings too. Or nothing at all. lol |
Thanks!
will most likely go to a 12mm or possibly machine the 10mm to work on rear in spring for extra clearance and to make it look more visually appealing. for now its fine. it does tuck and is flush in person but its at the limit. front is perfect :) |
1st i want to thank everyone on this thread. I followed it religiously before deciding to spend money. I found 8.5 wheels that fit (both front and back) and are reasonably priced ($230 EA). They are the Niche Misano M117. I really, really like the aggressive look and stance.
Here are the specs: Front: 8.5x19 ET34 12mm spacer Rear 8.5x19 ET42 15mm spacer All around I have Conti DWS06 255/35/19 (I really missed the smoothness of these tires compared to the stock P-zeros) Side note: I made the mistake of mounting the same size rims in the back (ET42) on the front and IT DOES RUB. So if anyone wants a brand new pair of these rims for cheap (for the rear), let me know :). I also wanted people to be sure to check the tire brand they are going to use as each tire sits differently (more or less square). I'll post more pictures and links to everything I bought if anyone is interested. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...bd03be4a3c.jpg |

when you say et34 front. is that before or after spacer. I wanted to verify because if thats before spacer that must stick really far out past the fender.
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...2287f23e80.jpg Gonna be giving some info on some more wheels that will fit in here soon. |
ET34 was before the spacer. It doesn't sit completely flush but ever so slightly bulges out. I'll upload a pic from the back and the top I have on my phone
