Unacceptable behavior
I have always been a Mercedes driver, have owned many over the years and currently own three AMGs and have noticed something very disturbing.
My current cars are 2017 W205 C43, 2014 C204 C63 507, 2006 S211 E55 (Not for sale), and 2017 Honda Fit. Love them all for different reasons.
When I drive the C63 or the E55 I get waves and thumbs ups, yet every single time I drive the C43 other AMG drivers either come close and downshift by my window, or brake test me, and few times they have actually tried to run me off or pulled into my lane and got very close right next to me.
Today on the way home driving my C43 a GLE63 S Coupe did all of the above.
This is unacceptable and I feel bad for those individuals who harass others because they chose to buy a C43. If that makes you so uneasy and angry, you shouldn't be allowed to drive.
If you're able to afford nice cars like the GLE63 nothing really should bother you enough to harass others.
Judging by my experience the C43 is more of an AMG than the 204 generation (bar the hand assembled engine) and I love it and would buy it over and over and over.
Go out there, be happy that you're able to drive such nice cars, live and let live, and Happy motoring.
Above all, Behave.
P.S. this was posted on AMG PL as well.

Never encountered this problem here in Mass, or on the few times I've driven my C450 out of State.
And I even have an AMG badge affixed on the right side trunk lid...to go along with the AMG badges Mercedes had already applied on the front fenders.

I have never experienced anything like this in 9 months of ownership. Generally I get ignored. On the few occasions someone has acknowledged my car, it has been in a positive way.

Definitely an elitist attitude from the "true" AMG owners now that the C43 has the AMG badge. See this alot online (ie: one of the larger Canadian FB groups that I'm in...)
A person can't ask a simple question re C450/C43 without a bunch of 63 owners ****posting in a thread. Blame MB for this Civil War I suppose.
I have noticed a good portion of this is coming from W204 63 owners.
Haven't had many issues on the road yet. I find C400 owners trying to go at it more often than not, lol.

C43 AMG Sedan
Must be an Amurrrican thing. Canadians haven't had an issue with the C43. Only compliments, 1 guy was complimenting on my car so much he forgot to sell me what he was trying to sell (credit card pushers at gas station)
LMAO.
Also had several 63 AMG owners give me the thumbs up.

Thank you all for your responses. I'm going to install dash-cam on the C43 and capture it on video then ultimately de-badge it.

I'm envious. I am also a Mass resident, have had my C43 for 3 or so months and have been "buzzed" 3 or 4 times by older-model C63 drivers. It could be the same 1 or 2 people. Haven't tracked it closely enough.
It's rather silly. Why be "threatened" or look down on the C43? It's an awesome car. Sure, I probably would have gone C63 if they had the AWD option. I liked those lines and the V8 tone even more, but the C43 is a perfect combination of sport and practicality (it can actually drive in the snow). So no regrets at all. Love this car, the way it performs, sounds, looks, etc.
Have a few of small issues with it:
But I'll get those fixed with the dealer. No big deal.

Have a few of small issues with it:
- Burning smell from the engine
- Squeaky windshield wipers
- Squeaky brakes

I've seen many videos on C43 (Sedan, Coupe, Cabrio) and its SUV variants. Some had the AMG logo on the engine cover and some didn't. Is this logo something that comes on the engine from factory? I'm hoping it does, I personally like the logo on it. I had no idea it has the appearance of brushed aluminum.

I took it off because it's really not an AMG engine and it looked a little tacky.. if I had a c63 I would feel more comfortable.. there are already a bunch of AMG logos in the car and on the back too
