New C43 owner. Upgrades?

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 2017 C43 sedan in Selenite Grey (love this color). The dealer didn't have this color in their inventory, so they had one shipped one from another dealer. They told me it would be in after Labor Day weekend, but I was too anxious to wait. I snuck in today and it was there! Attached you will see a couple pictures (disregard the iphone quality photos lol).

Now as far as upgrading these vehicles, what have you guys found most beneficial? I have heard of a couple tunes on the market that seem to give a good amount of power, but haven't done much more research. I know there aren't too many mechanical upgrades (pretty much just exhaust if I am not mistaken?).

Feel free to give any advice and I look forward to chatting with you all!

Cheers

This is hilarious! Snuck in to see his car . Nicely done, sir lol and I love the color choice . I have a Selenite Grey coupe and I love how it looks, especially with that grille.

As far as upgrades, all I have done on mine is a stage 1 software upgrade from AMR Performance. It is a nice increase in power with no reliability sacrifices.

Parts wise, all that is available is downpipes, catback systems, air filters and bov spacers. The only real beneficial mechanical upgrade are the downpipes. The rest are pretty much for sound.

I enjoy my stock car with the stage 1 upgrade. It gives the sleeper vibe because it appears stock, however, it has 100 more hp lol

Good luck with the car!

A tune will make the car more fun to drive. Got mine three months ago from Eurocharged and still smile every time I drive it.

Thanks for the info! and I couldn't make wait lol the suspense was killing me hahaha.

I considered getting a catback and stage 1 tune and calling it a day. Not quite sure yet, however, everyone with this car seems to enjoy tuning it.

Thanks for the input! What made you pick Eurocharged? I have heard of a couple different companies offering upgrades and wanted some opinions. Thanks guys

It is a great platform because just a tune alone gives it such a power increase (at least the AMR tune does).

I hear you on the catback, however, I think I am personally going to do downpipes and leave the catback stock. It will increase power and make it a little louder, but not too much. It is still a Mercedes you know?

Thank you! Your car sounds sweet

How do you like the OE tune? I heard of them, but didn't pay too much mind since the main options are Eurocharged and AMR

AMR is Best #1.... then OE tune is #2.... and Eurocharged is #3... they all have good performance but AMR is most expensive and seems to be the most reliable.. Eurocharged seems to be good but they have had some hiccups

Interesting lol price isn't really an issue to me. I am one of those people that rather spend a little extra to get a higher quality product/service.

From my research so far, AMR seems to make the most power, yes?

OE and AMR are the most popular. I first got stage 1 from OE tuning with just my AWE Track catback on the car and I noticed an extreme difference and then I upgraded to stage 2 software which is for high flow downpipes since I have the Weistec Non-Res downpipes and it is insanely quick, shift fast, pulls hard. Even the guys at the shop were impressed at how quick it is now and they get way faster stuff in there shop than our car. The computer often dictates sound too and the downshifts are fantastic. Cold start is so loud, about 115 db with my set up.

OE is in California so I mailed them my ECU
AMR I think is in CT

So that is another thing to think about depending on where you live. I am sure you would be happy with either tuning company

From what I have seen, all the major software companies are in the U.S.

Why don't you just ship your ECU?

I was worried about the time it will take and figured it may be easier to do it local if any members knew of a reputable workshop out here.
