Hey guys, while I'm waiting for my C43 Coupe delivery sometime in Oct/Nov, I'm curious about what your experience is like with your 9G-Tronic transmission. Specifically, when you put your car in manual mode (ideally in S+ mode), how quickly does it downshift and upshift? I'm also curious about how responsive it is when you say quickly pull the downshift paddle twice in rapid succession.
You can just hold the downshift and the transmission will automatically shift to the most aggressive gear. But overall the shifting is pretty quick, not dual clutch quick however.

Sorry all, posted in wrong section. Hi dhspencer71. There is a factory bulletin as discussed earlier in this thread that cleans the valves and reprograms the shifts. I had this performed and it actually totally smoothed the low speed shifting character of the transmission. As has been reported here, some cars have no problem, and now mine has joined those ranks. It's no guarantee, as we are waiting for a software upgrade which is on the works, but at least for me it delivered excellent results!

Upshift is slow, downshift is reasonably fast. Decent for a slushbox.
Can get the TCU tuned to increase clamping pressure.

I bought my 2023 c43 in June and am so unhappy with it. From the lack of power to warning lights coming on, a rattle in the front behind the passenger wheel, to the transmission shifting so dang hard it snaps anyone in the cars neck back like they were rear ended. i have taken the car to the dealer several times whch they claim they had to "teach the transmission hownto shift again", but after a week or 2 it goes back to shiftig like a honda thats about to lose its trans. The dealer hears the knocking but says Mercedes does not have a fix for it and they said to continue driving it until they do. This car is not enjoyable to drive ... such a let down from the other AMGs I own and have owned.
