Did MB get the transmission jerkiness sorted out for the 2018 model or is it the same as the 2017 model? Does this problem effect both the sedan and coupe?

2016 C450
In my opinion I feel like it's been fixed. I picked up my 2018 sedan earlier this week and I haven't noticed any of the transmission issues that I had with my 2016 c450. Especially when coming to a stop sign and quickly gassing I t, I haven't noticed the transmission "lost" on which gear to be in.

This isn't something they'll fix - it only happens in sport+ in the lower gears because of having so much torque available. Just shift up when it happens or let off the gas if it's an issue for you.

Don't know for sure, but I doubt it...
It's the one aspect I strongly dislike about the C43...

C43 AMG Coupe
Just wanted to echo what some of the others were saying, I looked into this at depth since there were some concerns about it.

In my opinion, it is not a transmission issue. It is a quirk in the sport+ mode that is likely to happen for the reasons the other posters have said.

I experienced it once. Ever since, I have had no issue just coming off the throttle slightly instead of juicing it as it is downshifting when the light turns green; again only in S+.

I don't know if it will be an issue in the future, but I feel that all cars have their quirks, and this seems to be one most C43 owners are willing to put up with.

I upshift whenever I'm stuck in that jerky situation. Problem solved.

Totally agree that it's throttle hyper sensitivity in S+ that is the cause and once (or a few times) you've experienced it you do learn to adapt to it. That said... it's still my least favourite aspect of the C43 and having to always keep this nugget of poop in the back of your mind never adds any positives to a C43's driving experience.

My Porsche Turbo S with well over 200+ hp more than this C43 has none of the same issues in S+...thank gawd!
