The even better news is that Mercedes (and AMG) typically seem to be quite conservative in their engine power ratings so most (if not all new, properly broken in) cars, if actually tested, will meet or exceed their power/torque ratings.
Personally, I find that the thing that makes Mercedes (and pretty much all German cars) more of a pleasure to drive is their wide and flat maximum torque band that typically comes on at 1800-2200 RPM and continues for at least 2000 RPM. By comparison, many manufaturers' engines have a maximum torque that's simply a short-lived peak.
